How do you change from corrugated to chipboard?
This is a very simple process. We suggest contacting a Sales Representative or Customer Service Representative to make this transition today. Essentially, usable cell sizes in corrugated partitions can be reduced by the difference between the thickness of the corrugated and the thickness of the chipboard. As an example, if the usable cell size of a corrugated partition in c-flute is 3", and you wish to convert to .040 chipboard, the cell size reduces to 2 7/8".
This difference affects the overall length of the corresponding strip(s) by taking the number of usable cells times the overall difference, thus creating a shorter partition with the same usable cell size.

Do you do corrugated partitions?
We are a full line provider of partitions. We manufacture automatically assembled corrugated and chipboard partitions in a huge variation of sizes.
When is corrugated best suited for a particular packaging solution
Typically, heavy parts, glassware, and parts over 15" tall will be best suited for corrugated. Outside of these applications, chipboard will work for the remaining opportunities. For a detailed look click here.
Do you make boxes?
Innerpac does not make cartons and boxes, and we have no plans to do so. Innerpac respects the relationship between our company and box manufacturers.
What is the minimum and maximum size partitions you can manufacture?
"No partition too big or too small" is our motto. We have experience with partitions as large as 65" long by 48" wide by 24" tall down to 1" long by 1" wide by ½" tall. Our proprietary manufacturing processes afford us an advantage in several stages of manufacturing to bring you a quality partition at a competitive price.
How do I design a partition?
We are more than happy to help in this area. We employ an experienced group of sales/service representatives capable of creating a partition from box size, product size, cell size and weight. If you are interested in improving your design skills, see the section under Product Design for further details.
How do you measure cell size?
We use center to center to measure cell size, as this is the most accurate method for calculating a cell. As long as you inform us of your cell size method, we can convert to our measurement from inside or outside dimension. Are there die charges involved in manufacturing?
Sometimes there are flat bed die cutting charges required for the manufacturing of partitions or other specialty items, primarily in corrugated. In chipboard, we maintain custom tooling for thumb- and v-notches, orientation corners and other custom accommodations at no additional charge. Ask your sales representative, or speak to a sales/service representative at one of our facilities to find out more. Click here to Contact Us.
Are there delivery minimums?
Innerpac was started from "scratch" in 1986. We were able to grow and become successful because of suppliers who took a chance on us. We do not impose minimums on stock material orders or deliveries. There are, however, certain custom-run materials from our mills that must be purchased in larger volume for the mill's minimums. Please inquire if you are interested in a specialty material for more details.
Is freight included in your pricing?
We will price business based on the customer's request. Unless instructed, we quote items delivered to the customer.
We have a local supplier. Won't freight make your partitions too expensive?
Innerpac uses a proprietary machine assembly process that allows us to machine assembly 95% of the partitions manufactured in our facilities. This labor savings versus hand assembly affords us the ability to ship from one of our three strategically located facilities at a competitive price. Machine assembly also allows us the ability to maintain lead times within two weeks or less.
What is your standard lead time?
Partitions are usually manufactured in days. Innerpac prides itself on our ability to turn around orders and meet customers' critical lead time requirement.
Can I get samples to test?
We are happy to provide samples, and encourage the use of samples. Our samples are hand-cut to provide an idea of dimensional accuracy once the product is manufactured. In special cases, we can also provide production run samples for testing. Use our Sample Request Form under the Forms section of this website to order samples today.
Do you drop ship? If so, how do I protect myself as a re-seller?
We currently drop ship anywhere from 40% to 60% of our business throughout the country. Innerpac has grown by protecting re-sellers in their accounts. We do not actively pursue end users without taking all precautions to ensure that we do not do business through a re-seller. If so, we will remove ourselves from any conflict of interest.
